College Connections

Empire State English has established the College Connections pathway program which allows students to obtain conditional admission through a local partner college before starting English classes.

TEACHING ENGLISH SINCE 2012

How It Works

Select local colleges rely on Empire State English to help prepare international students with the English skills they need to be successful while pursuing educational degree programs. Based on initial testing and results on the TOEFL or the IELTS English proficiency exams, a student may be referred to Empire State English or contact us directly to develop a customized program to bring his or her English language skills to the required level.

Empire State English has established “pathway program” relationships with several area colleges among more than 25 colleges and universities in the Capital Region of New York state.

The College Connections pathway program at Empire State English allows students to obtain conditional admission through a local partner college before the students begin their English classes. Empire State English continues to develop new pathway partners in order to give students a broad choice of study.

As local universities, colleges, and private schools are bringing in a diverse student body from abroad, many are discovering that international students need support in English as a Second Language (ESL) in order to be successful.

If you are a student from abroad ready to get started, visit our Intensive English Program page and follow the registration steps.

Take a look at our current list of partner schools below the form, if you’re a foreign student looking to get started.
